Description

The event researcher will interview key figures in the hedge fund industry to create in-depth agendas for a variety of summits held globally. They will also recruit speakers for panels sessions at the events. The role also involves international travel, attendance at the events and building up relationships with key COOs, CFOs, and other prominent figures in the global hedge fund industry. The event researcher will interview key figures in the hedge fund industry to create in-depth agendas for a variety of summits held globally. Reports into: Head of Event Content

• Conduct research calls and meetings with senior hedge fund professionals to create in-depth event agendas • Create agendas for HFM’s global events

• Recruit speakers for appropriate panellist and keynote positions

• Be willing to travel to global event sites to manage the content production and speakers on-site

Requirements

Qualifications and experience – graduate level; experience in the event industry, journalism or content creation in financial services desirable but not required

Skills & competencies – excellent communication, research and written skills; ability to meet deadlines and creative thinking around agenda formats and speaker recruitment

Personal attributes – attention to detail; willing to travel; comfortable conducting over the phone and face to face meetings with senior hedge fund professionals; able to assist the events team at on-site events
