Delegate Sales Executive, New York

Pageant Media is a global independent provider of business intelligence and insight, delivering content and events as well as performance data and investor data.

The Delegate Sales Executive will be responsible for creating relationships with senior executives and driving delegate attendance at our portfolio of US events across multiple industry sectors.They will work closely with the content and marketing teams to understand both the event and the target market to build a clear value proposition to successfully secure registrations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in delegate sales with the confidence to come in and hit the ground running.

Key responsibilities

• Meeting delegate attendance targets for all allocated events

• Continuing to communicate with delegates post-registration to ensure a high level of client engagement and on-site conversion

• Developing market knowledge to enable constructive and high-level conversations with clients

• Providing feedback during the delegate recruitment campaign on market reception to the event and common objections

• Attending events to network with attendees to obtain feedback which will assist in developing future events

• Researching own leads when necessary which fit the delegate profile for the event

• Managing and updating client information on CRM

Requirements
  • 2+ years’ experience in B2B delegate sales with a proven track record of exceeding targets
  • Target driven, ambitious and eager to learn and develop
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
  • Confident and assertive with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively to senior executives
  • Highly flexible, able to handle changing directions/priorities and roles as business needs evolve
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities successfully
