Account Manager, New York


Institutional Portfolio Research Journals (IPR Journals) is looking for a talented Account Manager to look after our high profile Agency business and the Academics. The role requires efficiency, attention to details and ability to close the loop on issues ,  while delivering excellent customer service and relationship building.


  • Working with Agents such as Ebsco, Prenax, LM Information, Celdes, Karger Libri
  • Building rapport with Academic customers worldwide – specifically business school libraries
  • Ensure subscription renewals though agencies 2 months in advance of expiration
  • Creating and Issuing Agreements for the Academia
  • Effectively convey new product proposition to Agencies for listing purposes
  • Allocating payments on SalesForce
  • Following up on and remedy claims of missing issues
  • Managing administration and updating CRM at all times
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Work towards revenue goals as well as additional KPI’s
  • Meet and exceed monthly quotas through retention and upsell
  • Ensuring that the Agent are paying in a timely manner
  • Follow-up with end users to ensure effective delivery
  • Follow-up with end users in instances of non-renewal
  • Ensuring that SalesForce is updated with the agents reference numbers
  • Authorizing and ensuring online access for end users
  • Provide usage statistics for requests by Universities
  • Confident Telephone manner
