Reporting to the Head of Events, the Senior Event Manager will be responsible for the conception to completion, planning and delivery of a variety of high-profile international events for Pageant Media’s brands, along with line management of 3 event managers and coordinators.  This busy role would suit a well presented, articulate and confident event manager with meticulous attention to detail looking to take the next step in their career. Existing experience of end-to-end management of complex high-end summits and awards schemes is essential, along with the ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 3 event managers and coordinators to successfully deliver an annual programme of c.100 commercially driven summits, awards schemes, dinners, breakfast briefings and webinars across Europe, the US and Asia
  • Personal end-to-end project management of c.8-10 high-profile summits and awards schemes a year
  • Full responsibility for event logistics, resulting in the delivery of high quality and profitable events
  • Budget management
  • Research, develop and implement ideas to enhance and grow our largest events
  • Supplier contract management; negotiating deals
  • Liaise with and manage all event stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Brief and delegate to a team of onsite events staff
  • Management of internal deadlines and reporting systems
  • Use of various event software platforms and SalesForce
  • Post-event evaluation and de-brief

Competencies And Skills

  • Strong business events experience, ideally within a B2B publishing/information business
