After graduating, Thomas started his working life as a sales executive with a national glazing company before moving onto an international chemical manufacturer. A couple of years at a industry specific online job board followed before Thomas joined Pageant Media as a sales executive in September 2007 working on alternative risk management publication, Captive Review. Following promotion to Associate Publisher for the Emerging Market Fund Manager (EMFM) Group, Thomas was entrusted with assisting the Managing Director in launching Pageant’s portfolio in the Middle East.
November 2008 saw the launch of Gulf Insurance Review (GIR), a title focusing on the fast developing insurance sector in the GCC nations. As a first title in Pageant’s Emerging Market portfolio, GIR was relaunched as MENA Fund Manager in 2010 to expand its coverage beyond the Gulf to the rapidly developing North Africa markets and the rest of the Middle East.
Under the new Pageant Media divisions of the Emerging Market Fund Management Group and the Emerging Market Insurance Group, Thomas will now be overseeing the group's further expansion with June 2011 seeing the launch of Africa FM. Also part of the EMFM Group are LatAm FM, launched in 2010 and Asia FM, which was added to the portfolio in February 2011.
